Consensus All-American RJ Davis is returning to North Carolina for his fifth and final season, CBS Sports and The Field of 68 reported Wednesday.The report follows fellow guard Seth Trimble’s announcement Tuesday that he’s returning for the 2024-25 season after entering the transfer portal on April 9. The Tar Heels also return sophomore point guard Elliot Cadeau.Davis is expected to make an official announcement in the coming days.Davis averaged a career-high 21.2 points in 37 starts last season, earning first team All-America honors. He’s averaging 15.1 points in 138 career games (118 starts). He shot 39.8 percent from the 3-point line. He led the Tar Heels to a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. UNC lost to Alabama in a Sweet 16 game.
