Reports: Pistons, PG Rose agree to 2-year, $15M deal

The Detroit Pistons and point guard Derrick Rose have agreed to a two-year, $15 million deal, according to multiple reports Sunday night.Rose, a former NBA Most Valuable Player whose career has been sabotaged by injuries, enjoyed a rebirth last season with the Minnesota Timberwolves.In 51 games (13 starts) he averaged 18.0 points, 4.3 assists and 2.7 rebounds in 27.3 minutes per game. His season ended prematurely in March with surgery to remove bone chips from his right elbow.For Rose, his $7.5 million annual average salary with the Pistons will represent a significant increase over the $2.39 million he earned with the Timberwolves.In his 11-year career since the Chicago Bulls drafted him first overall in 2008, Rose has averaged 18.8 points and 5.6 assists in 546 contests (489 starts).
