Memphis WR Pollard declares for NFL draft

Memphis do-it-all weapon Tony Pollard will forgo his final year of eligibility and declare for the 2019 NFL Draft, he announced Friday evening on Twitter.Pollard, a redshirt junior, tied the NCAA all-time record for career kick-return touchdowns with a 97-yarder in the Birmingham Bowl in December, giving him seven in his career. He averaged 30.1 yards on 87 career kick returns, though his average fell to 24.7 this year after it hit 40 in 2017.On offense, Pollard totaled 1,010 scrimmage yards and nine touchdowns on 117 touches in 2018, including 78 carries for 552 yards (7.1 average) and six scores. Listed as a wide receiver, Pollard had 104 catches for 1,292 yards and nine scores in three years at Memphis, to go with 139 carries for 941 yards and nine TDs on the ground.
